Explore Sydney Contemporary
Sydney Contemporary has pivoted this year to Explore Sydney Contemporary, a digital edition of the annual Fair created to provide crucial support for the arts community. Launching Thursday, 11 November, 2021, the custom online platform is host to over 80 galleries, which you can explore from the comfort of your own home. The 2021 iteration also engages unique initiatives including, a special commissioned artist animation and a new series titled UNTOLD. The UNTOLD program is produced and curated by Agency Projects, culminating as a series of informative talks profiling inspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working across diverse creative fields, including Tony Albert, Peta Clancy, Karla Dickens, Jenna Lee, Noŋgirrŋa Marawili, Regina Pilawuk Wilson, Dr Christian Thompson AO and Jemima Wyman. With over 500 artists involved in Explore Sydney Contemporary, Gallery Sectors have been established to help you navigate through the extensive line-up – namely, Galleries, which presents solo or group shows by significant established galleries; Future, which platforms galleries operating for five years or less; and Paper, which in association with The Print Council of Australia Inc, showcases printmaking and works on paper. Explore Sydney Contemporary continues online until 21 November, 2021.
