The Charge that Binds
The Charge That Binds explores the urgent issues of climate change and social inequity through the lens of the artist. Combining recent artworks by local and international practitioners with several new commissions, the exhibition foregrounds relationality, collaboration and optimism as ways to combat the exploitative, destructive, grief- inducing realities of cultural domination and territorial occupation. Aptly adopting a collective curatorial model, the artworks on display emphasise the interconnectedness of humanity and the environment, celebrating both the power of natural phenomena as well as interdependency and reciprocity across difference. The Charge That Binds runs from December 7, 2024 to March 16, 2025.
