The 5th Tamworth Textile Triennial: Residue + Response: Connecting histories and futures
Nearing the end of its national tour, the 5th Tamworth Textile Triennial is at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery. This edition, which opened in 2023, celebrates the Tamworth Regional Gallery’s 50th year of honouring textile art. To mark this milestone, among the record 25 artworks by artists from diverse backgrounds are those developed through a two-way collaboration and exchange that paired five established artists with five emerging ones – an apt alignment with the exploration of materials, methods and meaning encouraged by the Triennial’s theme: Residue and Response: Connecting histories and futures. Before moving on to Grafton, the 5th Tamworth Textile Triennial will be on display in Port Macquarie from April 18 to July 13, 2025.
