Sydney Contemporary 2025
Sydney Contemporary returns to Carriageworks with its largest edition to date, showcasing more than 500 artists across 114 leading galleries from Australia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. The 2025 fair marks a new chapter with the debut of Photo Sydney – a dedicated sector responding to the growing interest in photographic practice. This joins popular curated platforms such as Installation Contemporary, Performance Contemporary, Talk Contemporary and Kid Contemporary, offering audiences a multi-sensory experience of contemporary art in all its forms. From emerging talent to blue-chip names, the fair brings together the breadth of current artistic production across painting, sculpture, photography, new media and works on paper. With strong engagement from curators, collectors and institutions, Sydney Contemporary has become the region’s most significant art event, providing a critical commercial and cultural platform for artists and galleries alike. The fair’s dynamic programming ensures it remains a key destination for those seeking to discover, collect and engage with contemporary art on a global scale, and is showing from September 11 to 14, 2025.
