Birak Season at BRAG

A tour de force of Western Australian women’s art arrives at Bunbury Regional Art Gallery this summer, with three major exhibitions presented concurrently to showcase the scope and vitality of the state’s contemporary practice. Anna Louise Richardson: The Good offers a large-scale yet intimate meditation on rural life, grief, resilience, and the quiet radicalism of hope; Tania Ferrier: Angry Underwear revisits the artist’s iconic late-1980s feminist project, charting its rise from New York club culture to global pop visibility. Alongside these, Monument gathers ten influential WA artists to reimagine the role of public art, challenging traditions of permanence and proposing new, speculative forms.

BRAG’s Birak Exhibitions run from 15 November 2025 to 15 February 2026.
