Notfair 2026 – Lust for Life
NotFair 2026 has been retitled Lust for Life in honour of the late Dr Ashley Crawford, co-founder, critic and arts writer, celebrating his spirit through a bold, experimental exhibition curated by Brie Trenerry, Darren Tanny Tan and Liss Fenwick. Presented in a former office complex at 83 High Street, Prahran, opposite the Prahran Hotel, the exhibition brings together more than 30 artists working across painting, sculpture, installation, performance and hybrid practices to reflect an art world in flux, where emerging technologies and AI unsettle traditional boundaries. Highlights include site-specific installations by Renato Colangelo and Karen Ann Donnachie & Andy Simionato, alongside works by First Nations artists Axel Garay, Kyle Archie Knight and Georgia Bosely, and process-driven textile and multimedia practices exploring the intersections of technology, culture and identity. As NotFair Chair Sam Leach notes, the title speaks directly to Crawford’s legacy: “Ashley had a true lust for life, which shines through this bold, experimental exhibition,” with Lust for Life running from February 14 to 23, 2026.
