'Traction – Publishing and the Curatorial' at 2020 Melbourne Art Book Fair

In partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria and their 2020 Melbourne Art Book Fair; VAULT Magazine presented a panel discussion on the intersection between curatorial practice, publishing and writing.

Publishing and the curatorial; are in many ways opposite – one is anchored in permanence; the other is temporal and shifting – but then again nearly all exhibitions have publishing components that form a major part of the curatorial process. Hear from three independent Melbourne based-curators as they communicate how they traverse this evolving landscape.

Chaired by VAULT Magazine Manager Tess Maunder; program speakers include artist, writer and Program Curator at West Space; Andy Butler; curator and writer Sophia Cai and Independent curator, writer and PHOTO 2020 Producer Rachel Ciesla.
