Melbourne Art Fair returned to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre this Thursday with the theme ketherba – a Boon Wurrung word meaning ‘togetherness imbued with promise’. Presentations from 60 galleries and art centres are accompanied by a broader artistic program underpinned by the categories VIDEO, BEYOND, LIVE and PROJECT ROOMS, featuring large-scale installations, video works, performances and conversations.
VAULT Magazine, as a supporting partner of the Fair, had our own booth, G2, and in the spirit of ketherba, delivered a series of inclusive and inspiring one-on-one conversations with preeminent Australian contemporary artists presenting in the Fair.
On the VIP Day, VAULT Editor Alison Kubler was joined by Bill Henson, then on the Friday by Edwina McLennan, on Saturday by Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran and finally, on Sunday by James Drinkwater.
VAULT would like to thank the artists and their galleries, Starkwhite/1301SW, The Renshaws, Sullivan+Strumpf and Nicholas Thompson, respectively, for joining us for this incredible program!
